The volunteers who run this chapter.
Chapter leadership at SCI East Ohio / Northwest PA is entirely volunteer. Every officer and board member is a working volunteer, and none of them draws a salary. All of them hunt. All of them serve.
The officers set the chapter’s direction, manage its money and keep it in good standing with Safari Club International. In addition, five committees handle the year’s biggest jobs: the fundraiser, education, conservation, membership and trophy scoring. Members also vote on major decisions. As a result, chapter leadership answers to its members.
Want to help? You don’t need a title to make a difference. For example, members volunteer at the Night of the Hunter dinner, help with youth shooting days and haul mounts to Sensory Safari events. If you’d like to get involved, contact the chapter and tell us what you’re good at.
Questions for chapter leadership? Use the contact page, or simply catch one of us at a chapter event. We’re happy to talk about anything from membership to a project idea. After all, the chapter works best when members bring ideas forward. Likewise, if you know a local group that could use our help, tell us about it, because that’s often how new projects start.

Chapter leadership: committees and special roles
Fundraiser Committee
- Plans the Night of the Hunter dinner, because that one night funds most of the chapter’s work.
Education Committee
- Directs education funding, for example AWLS scholarships and youth shooting programs.
Conservation Committee
- Reviews conservation grant requests so that matching dollars reach the right local projects.
Membership Committee
- Welcomes new members and, in addition, handles renewals and members-only events.
Certified Scorers
- Measures trophies for the SCI Record Book, so every entry follows official SCI standards.

Chapter board positions and committee roles open up periodically. If you're a member who wants to put in real time on the work — fundraising, youth programs, conservation outreach, event planning — we want to hear from you.
The chapter gratefully acknowledges the past officers, board members, and volunteers whose work built this organization. The names above are stewards of a tradition decades older than any one of us.
